A comprehensive Accident, Trauma and Emergency Department (A & E) catering to poly-trauma as well as medical emergencies like cardiac, paediatric and obstetric emergencies has been established. The unit is run by trained doctors and paramedical staff round the clock, equipped with critical lifesaving equipment supported by Ambulance services for safe transport to advanced centres outside the Institution if necessary. The A & E Department has not only meticulous training programs like BLS and ACLS for doctors, nurses, paramedics and students but also provides first aid and BLS training to community and select group of people like ambulance drivers.
