The Department of Critical care meets the needs of patients facing an immediate life-threatening health condition. The Department, which includes an adult and pediatric ICU, is managed by well equipped medical and nursing staffs who maintain organ system functioning, thereby, improving the patient’s condition using advanced therapeutic, monitoring and diagnostic technology. We have a 40-bedded Intensive care unit to cater to all the medical emergency requirements of such patients. The ICUs also cater to patients who need round the clock monitoring as well as post-operative patients who need a high level of care. A dialysis centre to cater to the needs of patients with renal insufficiency will be setup in the near future to complement the Critical Care services.
Vision
To make this a unique unit at the national level and rise to international standards shortly and to invite and accept overseas faculty for training and research.
